8 Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you; Rebuke a wise man, and he will love you. 9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
Do not cast your pearls to the swine. Fools, idiots, scoffing unbelievers will not listen. They are know it alls. They think they have the answers for everything and they trust in themselves and wealth. They look at us as the fools, as weak. Correcting these arrogant people is a waste of your breath. Not until the almighty falls upon them and takes away their pride will they ever seek and listen. On the other hand, a wise person will listen to instruction that comes from a wise ,person. In fact they will welcome it. It is all about attitude. A wise man knows he has much to learn and willing accepts guidance and instruction whereas a scoffer does not need anyone to teach him anything. Is there a time in your life when you have been a scoffer? It seems like the teen years are full of scoffers
